Boqiu, a fox demon, has endured a thousand years of solitude and love across nine lifetimes to break the curse on his beloved, Su Xiaohuan, causing her tragic deaths in each cycle. In this lifetime, Su Xiaohuan dies at Boqiu’s hands after being manipulated by the deposed Crown Prince Xuanyuan Qingchuan, who places her in the imperial palace next to the notorious fox demon, believed to be her enemy. Despite everything, she unknowingly falls in love with him. To break the curse, Boqiu sacrifices himself to love her freely, ultimately freeing Su Xiaohuan from her fate.
